What came first?

What came first?

It has to be the subject of countless jokes. The age old debate, which I have never heard a good answer on, that is, what came first, the chicken or the egg? certainly a case could be made either way and a justification

for a right or wrong answer but how about we consider something more relevant. That is, what came first, you problem, or God?

Imagine that, we get so caught up in our concerns, our problems and our circumstances that it overwhelms us, and the result is we shut down. That is because we put the problem over God, when my Bible says in Genesis 1:1 God created the Heavens and the Earth, therefore everything came after him, including us and our problems.

With that being the case, why would we ever think our problem too big, or circumstances too tall for God? It would stand to reason that if God was first and everything came after him, not to mention by His creation, that he might have a better understanding of things then we do.

We must get to a place where we magnify the Lord at all times (Psalm34:3) instead of our problem. Elevating you problems, your fears, your concerns over the will of God, His word, and His promises put you in a cycle of unyielding returns. In other words, no matter what it is you are facing, even though you may not see the light at the end of the tunnel, God is still on his throne and He alone is God and beside Him, no one, person, place, or thing beside him can stand.

The next time your problem rises up, instead of magnifying the problem, magnify the goodness, grace, and mercy of the Lord towards you which are new everyday, and watch the problem fall to the way side. What came first, the problem of the Lord God, easy, God, and beside him there is no other! Put your problems in the proper perspective.
