#opportunityisnowhere

What do you see?  If I were to ask you to read this sign, 90% of people would come up with the same answer.  That is because throughout the years we have trained our self to be very one dimensional, or in other words, if what we are looking for is not in the way we think it should be, we tend to over look it.  Take for instance the story of Ellijah on Mt. Carmel. The Bible says,

41And Elijah said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain.
42So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down upon the earth and put his face between his knees
43And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked and said, There is nothing. Elijah said, Go again seven times.
44And at the seventh time the servant said, A cloud as small as a man's hand is arising out of the sea. And Elijah said, Go up, say to Ahab, Hitch your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.

Let's focus in on verse 43; And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked and said, There is nothing. Elijah said, Go again seven times.  Now I am sure you have heard this preached that the servant did not have faith to believe in what his mater was saying, and he was sent back seven times to build up his faith,  Which I will not dispute, but what if the reason was because he (the servant) was not seeing what was already there because he had his own ideas of what it would look like when his master, Elijah said the rain was coming?

You see often times we pray and pray for things to take place in our lives, and for change to come or issues to be corrected, but in doing so, we have our own ideas of what those would look like, such as in this case the rain cloud.  Although there is nothing wrong with looking for the promises of God in you life to take place, there is something wrong when you put your expectations and limits on how he is going to do it because what happens is you set your self up for a negative disappointment.

In this example above, about 90% of the people who look at this picture and read it the first time see "Opportunity is nowhere"  and that is what we do with our expectation on how God is going to show up in our lives, and the result is nowhere.  Now other of us, the 10% will see it as "Opportunity is now here"

In other words, the bible says that you have not prayed a prayer that God has not heard and answered.  You see, even though you maybe faced with difficulties that look the same as before, does not mean that God has not answered your prayers.  Know this, just because things do not always look bright, or that if you been praying for money and he gave you something else like peace of mind instead, God always has your best interest at heart, so if you prayed for some one to change and he changed you instead, maybe your change will bring about the change in them, if you needed money and instead he put you in a place of resources, remember, with God Opportunity is Now Here!!!!!!!!!!!

 Peace and Blessings.....

No victory, No sacrifice...

I can remember growing up back in the day, getting ready for school, and I would never miss an episode of Transformers, so when they remade the Transformers to a movie (3times over) I could not be more excited! The epic battle of Good vs. Evil, featuring the Autobots and the Decepticons. Similarly we have a battle going on within us, for our soul salvation. One of my favorite quotes in the movie, is " No victory, no sacrifice." You see chances are if you have been saved long enough and you are still carrying your cross and walking out your salvation, then you are going to have heartaches, pains, troubles, trials, you name it. Those struggles and difficulty are directly proportioned to the level of faith that you have in you. You see there is a saying, " to much is given, much is required." You see even in dealing with spiritual principles this still applies. Jesus said it best in Luke 12:48; But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Know this, the more the resources you have the more responsibility God will require of you in how you use them. You can sit back and live a life of just being and going through the motions, or you can live a life full of what the Lord has for you down here and as a result, know that if God has you on display for his good and the good of all his church, the devil will all so have you on display as a target to heal, steal, and destroy.

Astigmatism....

Reference: Amos 8:1-2

I just recently started wearing glasses as an adult do to astigmatism. As I was studying the Holy Ghost had me look up the meaning of astigmatism. Astigmatism is an optical defect in which vision is blurred due to the inability of the optics of the eye to focus a point object into a sharp focused image on the retina.

In otherwords, our vision over time has gotten blurred, by the attacks of life, the reccession, not having our promises fulfilled in the way we visioned them to be, and more importantly, the enemy, but God is saying to us that This time, This Day, This Year he is correcting our astigmatism so that not only are we able to see the fruits of our labor, but he is going to bring it into clear focus or a sharper image so that the enemy is not able to distored it by increasing our praise, and increasing our worship!

So today put your spiritual glasses on because they are filled with a prescription called the Blood of Jesus, and sharpen your vision and prepare to receive the word of God, because inspite of what it may look like with your blurred vision, we are still resting under the divine hand of providence, in one of the most fruitful years of our life, because our God is still God, and he is able and has increased us. This time, This Day, This Year, we will be able to see and partake of the basket of ripe fruit he is placing before us.

Kingdom Life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smile....

Did you know that it takes more to frown then it does to smile. You don't have to be serious to be spiritual.  Laughter is good! Levity is good! When you allow yourself to be joyful, that joy radiates to all those around you. God honors you and your laughter. So Smile......

Pay Attention......

If I asked you what was your favorite song, you could sang the chorus off the top of your head, but could you do the same for your favorite scripture? If I asked you what time you get up to get ready for work you would know it like the back of your hand, but would you know the same about what time you take during the day to pray and just say thank you to the Father? Often times we tend to place the emphases on the wrong things in life, instead of the one whom gave us Life. Ask your self this, how much attention do you place on the details of his work, for the average person has over 100000 hairs on their head, and the Bible says in Matthew 10:30; He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! If God the Father pays that much attention to your cares and worries, and frustration, the certainly he pays the same attention to your thoughts, your hopes, dreams and desires in him. Today, pay attention to the work the father has for you to accomplish today!

God Heals.....

One of my favorite verses is John 16:33; I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] Reason being most of use are caught off guard when life throws a curve ball and it hurts us deeply, but why, God already told us upfront that it would, but he also told us that in spite of the struggles, difficulties, challenges, disappointments, and set backs that we would not be alone. That he would be there to heal us along the way and that all we need to is remember that the ultimate victory has already been won and we can claim our prize of total healing from the Lord! Remember, Life Hurts, but our Mighty God Heals all!

Reach Out and Touch.......

When you get to the point that your dreams and reality start becoming one in the same it is a good feeling! But when you get there, how many of us turn around and look back to help someone else along the way? You see, if you really think about it, someone was praying for you when you could not, someone gifted you money when you were falling short, and someone helped to increase your faith, by allowing you to see them go through. You see God is not a man that he can lie, nor the son of a man that he needs to repent, so if He said it, then it shall come to pass and at some point, you will not be able to tell if you are dreaming or just living because they will be the same reality instead of the difference of the two, but there is one important factor to remember....for the Bible says that it is okay to eat the fat and drink the sweet but in doing so, set aside, make room, reach back and help or prepare someone else who may not be prepared or at the point where the blessings of the Lord are over taking them. Why because God gave man dominion on Earth and in order for him to do something down here, he needs to attach Himself to someone looking to be a blessing and not just receive a blessing because truly it is greater to give then to receive because in order to give, usually it is out of the fullness and abundance of the Lord in your life. So today, reach back and offer a helping hand to someone in need. It could be your time, your money, your ear, or even your silence so that they can hear the voice of God, but what ever you do, don't forget, you were not able to do it alone, neither will they be able to because we are the Body of Christ Jesus...Amen

Stretch Yourself and take the limits off.....

I can remember at the beginning of track and field season, I would always set my goal to get at least a second faster then the year before, which if you know anything about running and dropping time, is very difficult to achieve. But in high school at Chopticon, it actually was doable for me, so much in fact that every year I was able to drop a full second off my time, and my senior year I had reached my over all goal of obtaining the school record in the 110HH, which still stands today. In life we also have to set goals, weather it be our work, relationships, investments, or education, we too have to set goals, but we have to set the right kind of goals. You see although the goal in high school was achieved, by know means was it an easy goal. It to hard work, year after year, totaling four years worth to achieve the goal. You see if you are setting goals and you reach every goal, then chances are you are not setting the right goals. Reaching Goals takes time, effort, desire, energy, and while some goals are achieved quicker then others, some goals may take some time to reach. Just like the vision God has for your life, your goals should reflect that same approach. You see, when it comes to vision, "what you are believing God for in your life, has to be BIGGER then what you can see." Meaning if you are setting goals that you can easily see your self completing then you are not thinking like God, but if you are setting goals that stretch you so far that you wonder how you will ever reach them, then now you are starting to think like God! Today focus in on setting some goals in your life to please God, and in doing so, try to stretch yourself to full capacity then then watch God do exceedingly above all that you can ever think or ask of him, in Jesus name.....
