Seat belt and air bag please.....

In an accident, which do you think is more important, having your seat belt on, or the air bag being active?  While it is true  that individually these both can prevent you from being seriously hurt in an accident, there is no disputing the fact that together they save lives....subsequently, the same thing can be said with your faith.  The bible says in James 2:18; But someone will say [to you then], You [say you] have faith, and I have [good] works. Now you show me your [alleged] faith apart from any [good] works [if you can], and I by [good] works [of obedience] will show you my faith. In other words, by faith alone is not going to get it done, you have to also do you homework, put a word on it, pray about it, and act on it as if it has already been done!  By doing those things in conjunction with your faith, is how you see the miracle working power in the promises of God operate in your life.

Is your glass half empty, or is your glass half full?

Is your glass half empty, or is your glass half full?  Consider this, most of us around this time of the year tend to reflect back on the things that we should have, would have, or could have done.  In doing so we actually are missing the blessing.  Instead of trying to focus on if the glass is half full, or half empty, realize that you have something to drink!  Take the time out to appreciate what you do have in your life, not what you don't have or what you think is missing, because God has cared for you.  The Bible says in Philippians 4:11-13; Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.  I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.  I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

Turn God's impossible to POSSIBLE!!!!!

Did you know there is only one thing that is impossible for God to do? I know you are asking yourself what is he talking about because that is crazy, but it is true, as powerful as God is, there is but one thing impossible for him to do. That is to impose his will for your life on you. You have to make a choice to say yes, for the bible says in Deuteronomy 30:19-20; I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long life settled on the soil that God, your God, promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In other words the choice is yours! In his original plan, God gave man dominion over the earth, and his own will and in doing so, as God, he is bound to his word. At this stage of the year we like to look back and think about what we have done and have not done as compared to what we have been praying and seeking God for, and just maybe if it has not been done, it is because God is still waiting on your permission! So today, choose to give the Lord your permission to operate in your life base on his will, and turn the impossible to POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God's Mathematical Equation...

In general algebra, there is nothing more challenging then to see the Quadratic Equation for the first time.  You see even at its most basic elements math is addition and subtraction, and such is life.  Life is just as basic, you are gaining something or giving something away.  The problem comes in play because the world will have you to think that when you give something away it is a bad thing and that you should hold on to everything you have or try to gain as much as you can no matter what you have to do to get it.  Conversely, when you learn to see things with your spiritual eye and through God's mathematical equation you soon develop a different view.  When you give something to God, you always end up with more than you started out with, in fact losing nothing, and gaining everything through Christ Jesus.  Often, when you give that thing up to God, weather it is your disappointments, fears, objections, jobs, relationships, school, set backs, or what ever the case maybe, what you get in return will be in spiritual blessings.  God's blessing; no matter what form it may take, is always more valuable that what ever you could have possibly given away!

Bear Fruit....

At times as Christians, it seems like all we do is go through.  Yes it is true that the Bible says that there will be trouble and that he has over come it for our sake, but, if you are anything like me, you still wonder what all the trouble is for, why do we have to go through?  Easy answer, to bare fruit!!!!! The Bible says in John 15:2-3; Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].  In other words the reason that you continue to go through is because you are baring fruit (which the enemy does not like, but that is another preach) and because God wants you to bear more fruit and richer and more excellent fruit.  God is just simple trying to get you to a point so deep within him that all you see is the fruit, continuously and perpetually in your life...So know this, you will have trouble and continue to do so, but know it is just the process of pruning you for the fruit to come!

Embrace the Change...

God is constantly trying to bring about a change in your life, yet we are constantly at battle trying to fight it, as if we know better.  That change is the very nature of life, - welcome it.  No glass ever became sand again; No bread ever became wheat; No ripened fruit ever became a flower. Welcome change, and choose what kind of glass you create, what kind of bread you bake, what kind of fruit you harvest.  Because ultimately, God knows best for you and the change in you he is bringing out of you, will benefit you and bless your life.  Embrace the Change!

Exercise Your Faith...

Every year around this time, most people begin to look back on the year and what they think they have accomplished and what they could do better going into the new year, and about 95% of them consider getting in shape and exercising their body to get fit or stay fit. But how many of us consider exercising our Faith to stay spiritually fit and righteous before God? The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:7-12; For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come. Yes it is true that we face an adversary in the devil, but he has no dominion power over you, He is merely there to spar and training you for the ultimate battle which is you against yourself! Just look at the lives of saints, - most of them had gone through a dark night of the soul, and that's why their faith was so strong. The path to true faith always goes through trials. So ask those questions you've always been afraid to ask, and find the answers, and then your faith will become unshakable. In every opportunity look for a chance to put your faith on it and see God move for you, he is waiting for you!
