What are you investing in....

I love the stock market, the exchange, and what seemingly seems like a simple task of trial and error, is actually a brilliant battle of patience and diligence, just like our faith. You see, at the hight of all the talk about the Ford Motor Company issues their stock went down to something like a dollar, and at that point, we invested in them but other were pulling their money out as fast as they could, we were buying up stock...Little know fact, the only people that lost money during the drops in stocks were those that cash in and took their money out if you left it in there, you really did not loose anything, Fact is, we are like that with our faith. The moment things seem to be on the rocks, we are ready to cash in our chips and run for the hills. That's called "Wavering Faith." The Bible says in Romans 4:18-21 we should be fully convinced that God is able to do what ever it is he promised you. You see much like the stock market your faith walk with God, especially in the beginning, is going to have some ups and downs, but everything, must return to the mean! What I am trying to say is, just because things may not be going well, or you are still waiting on the promises of God, does not mean you cash in. Just because the values of your relationships, or your jobs have went down, does not necessarily mean it is time to withdrawal. Instead, do as God does, invest all in, and only then can you see things return to the mean, cause I promise you, your investment has to pay dividends because the word of God says so!... What ever you pay for, work hard at, take time with and invest in will mean something to you, but what ever you quit, leave behind, and withdrawal from will have little to know value left for you! If you are looking for some confirmation, just check out what Ford stock (http://money.cnn.com/quote/quote.html?symb=F)is selling for now, its 12x's as much as we invested in it at its lowest point!!!!! now that is a dividend!

Swing Away!!!!!!!!!

It's the World Series, game five with the series tied 2 and 2, bottom of the ninth, bases loaded with a full count, you look over to the coach and he says "swing away"!  What do you do the game is on the line?  The pitch is thrown.......But most of us do not see that we face this challenge everyday and the enemy is trying to strike us out, but God is over in the coaches box telling you to swing away, you got this!  All the trials, the difficulties the hard times you face, were just like practice getting you up to this point for the big game, and God is telling you to swing away!  Some of us have trained our entire lives for moment like we are facing now, God is telling you to swing away, All the tears, the long hours, the sweat, God is telling you to swing away...The Bible says in Psalm 27:13, "I am still confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!" Swing away!!!!!!But there Are those of us who once the ball is thrown, will sit back in the box, and with a full count against us, watch the ball come rolling over the plate for a strike out because they are not trusting in the Lord.  For the Bible says in Deuteronomy 1:32; In spite of this, you did not trust in the LORD your God, who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day, to search out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go. The Lord is telling you to swing away, so now with the full count and the bases loaded, what are you going to do, watch the ball come over the plate and miss out, or are you going to take a swing at it and trust in the Lord who has already went before you.....Swing Away!!!!!!

News Flash....extra, extra read all about it, your promise is here!!!!!!

Are you getting sick and tried of waiting on your miracle from God? Are you frustrated with the process? Well chances are you are all grown up and looking for milk instead of sitting down to eat at the table. There are two ways to live your life, as the bible says I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long life settled on the soil that God, your God, promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. News Flash, miracles are reserved for the unbelievers, for you, as the word of God says, have a promise. you can choose to sit back and wait on a miracle, or you can embrace the fact that you are a miracle, your entire life is such, and what you should focus on instead is looking for the promises of God to show up in your life!

Transform and roll out...

What do you think would happen if you took your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering?  Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed (transformed) from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

I once was blind but now I see...

I can remember almost to the day, when my kids started asking why? Even to this day, also the sermon that Pastor Rod Parsley spoke on when he talked about "why" being the seed to rebellion, and I can certainly understand the reason.  Because often times people come in and out of our lives, and when spend the majority of time trying to figure out why, same thing happens when God does something in our lives, through our lives, or surrounding our lives, whether it be good or bad in our eyes, the first thing we want to know is, "why Lord?"  I can only imagine this is how the blind man felt in John 9:25 when Jesus performed the miracle on him. He did not know how or why he was healed, but he did know this one thing, that God had touch him in a way that would forever change his life, and he was not ashamed nor afraid to talk about it.  You don't always need to know why God is doing what he is doing in your life, or all the answers to what is next, sometimes the blessing is found in just sharing with others how your life has changed because of it.  Simply sharing with others how Christ has touched you, can lead to an opportunity for the Lord to use your words, your situation, you miracle, you set back, your trials, your accomplishments, you promotion, your difficulties, to bless them in a life changing way!  So instead of trying to figure out why, focus on the change and sharing the good news about the change in your life, not only will it bless you, but others in return....

Green Eggs and Ham

One of my all time favorite stories is from Dr. Seuss, Green eggs and ham. I can not even count how many times I have read this book over and over again for my self, not to mention how many times I have read this for my children. Needless to say I lost count somewhere around the time of the twins. But I will never forget the story. The one character, Sam, tries to feed the other character, a plate of Green Eggs and Ham. Throughout the story, Sam goes through an assortment of locations (house, car, tree, train, box, boat) and dining partners (fox, goat, mouse) trying to persuade the unnamed character to eat and no matter what, the character still refuses to eat the eggs. We do the same thing when it comes to our life and the change that God wants to bring forth. Paul describes it best in Galatians 5:17, when he describes the conflict we face everyday between the changes the Holy Ghost wants to bring about us, and the old sinful nature that refuses to let go which is very important because it directly relates to our evil desires or inclinations that stem from our bodies, not unlike the refusal to eat the eggs and ham that Sam is offering because the body was not used to having such a thing. You see, when will we as the body of Christ learn that what God has for us is better then anything we could ever imagine for ourself. But at every step of the way, we try to fight him and argue our point with him instead of allowing the Holy Ghost to move in our lives, effectively bringing forth the change. Being led by the Holy Ghost takes the desire to want to change by hearing the word of God, then having the readiness to obey him and take him at his word. You see, just like in the story Green Eggs and Ham, the character Sam, was trying to get the other to try something he has never done before, just like the Holy Ghost is trying to get you to try God on for size instead. In the end of the story, the character finally gives the Green Eggs and Ham a try,

I like green eggs and ham!
I do!! I like them, Sam-I-am!
And I would eat them in a boat!
And I would eat them with a goat...
And I will eat them in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so good so good you see!

So I will eat them in a box.
And I will eat them with a fox.
And I will eat them in a house.
And I will eat them with a mouse.
And I will eat them here and there.
Say! I will eat them ANYWHERE!

I do so like
green eggs and ham!
Thank you!
Thank you,
Sam-I-am

When are you going to try your Green Eggs and Ham, I can promise you this, just like Sam did, you will like them, because the Lord God knows your most intimate desires of your heart! Stop resisting the change, next time you are giving the opportunity by the will of God for your life, try his way instead of your own!
