Often we quote scripture and remember that he who begins a good work in you shall perform it to completion, but let us not forget, we also have to complete that which we start as well. I am a procrastinator, and it is indeed something I ha
ve to work hard at to over come. It branches out into every aspect of my life, but it is something I am working on and if this is your area of weakness I hope this scripture will help you as it is now helping me because what I have learned is that just as quick as we are to start and take on a project, we have to be just as quick to want to see it finished, and then be consistent in that life style. Remember we were made in his image so if he can begin a good work and perform it to completion, so can we.
And here is my judgment about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. (2 Cor 8:12)
