I can remember at the beginning of track and field season, I would always set my goal to get at least a second faster then the year before, which if you know anything about running and dropping time, is very difficult to achieve. But in high school at Chopticon, it actually was doable for me, so much in fact that every year I was able to drop a full second off my time, and my senior year I had reached my over all goal of obtaining the school record in the 110HH, which still stands today. In life we also have to set goals, weather it be our work, relationships, investments, or education, we too have to set goals, but we have to set the right kind of goals. You see although the goal in high school was achieved, by know means was it an easy goal. It to hard work, year after year, totaling four years worth to achieve the goal. You see if you are setting goals and you reach every goal, then chances are you are not setting the right goals. Reaching Goals takes time, effort, desire, energy, and while some goals are achieved quicker then others, some goals may take some time to reach. Just like the vision God has for your life, your goals should reflect that same approach. You see, when it comes to vision, "what you are believing God for in your life, has to be BIGGER then what you can see." Meaning if you are setting goals that you can easily see your self completing then you are not thinking like God, but if you are setting goals that stretch you so far that you wonder how you will ever reach them, then now you are starting to think like God! Today focus in on setting some goals in your life to please God, and in doing so, try to stretch yourself to full capacity then then watch God do exceedingly above all that you can ever think or ask of him, in Jesus name.....
