What do you see? If I were to ask you to read this sign, 90% of people would come up with the same answer. That is because throughout the years we have trained our self to be very one dimensional, or in other words, if what we are looking for is not in the way we think it should be, we tend to over look it. Take for instance the story of Ellijah on Mt. Carmel. The Bible says,
41And Elijah said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain.
42So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down upon the earth and put his face between his knees
43And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked and said, There is nothing. Elijah said, Go again seven times.
44And at the seventh time the servant said, A cloud as small as a man's hand is arising out of the sea. And Elijah said, Go up, say to Ahab, Hitch your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.
Let's focus in on verse 43; And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked and said, There is nothing. Elijah said, Go again seven times. Now I am sure you have heard this preached that the servant did not have faith to believe in what his mater was saying, and he was sent back seven times to build up his faith, Which I will not dispute, but what if the reason was because he (the servant) was not seeing what was already there because he had his own ideas of what it would look like when his master, Elijah said the rain was coming?
You see often times we pray and pray for things to take place in our lives, and for change to come or issues to be corrected, but in doing so, we have our own ideas of what those would look like, such as in this case the rain cloud. Although there is nothing wrong with looking for the promises of God in you life to take place, there is something wrong when you put your expectations and limits on how he is going to do it because what happens is you set your self up for a negative disappointment.
In this example above, about 90% of the people who look at this picture and read it the first time see "Opportunity is nowhere" and that is what we do with our expectation on how God is going to show up in our lives, and the result is nowhere. Now other of us, the 10% will see it as "Opportunity is now here"
In other words, the bible says that you have not prayed a prayer that God has not heard and answered. You see, even though you maybe faced with difficulties that look the same as before, does not mean that God has not answered your prayers. Know this, just because things do not always look bright, or that if you been praying for money and he gave you something else like peace of mind instead, God always has your best interest at heart, so if you prayed for some one to change and he changed you instead, maybe your change will bring about the change in them, if you needed money and instead he put you in a place of resources, remember, with God Opportunity is Now Here!!!!!!!!!!!
Peace and Blessings.....
